Matthias Aumüller is Privatdozent of German and of Comparative Literature at the University of Wuppertal. He holds a Ph.D. in Russian Literature from the University of Hamburg. His publications include a monograph on the history of the concept of literariness and several articles on the relationship between Russian and German literary theory. Recently, his research interests focus on literature of the GDR. He edited a volume on narrativity in the series Narratologia, and he is co-executive editor of the Interdisciplinary E-Journal for Narrative Research Diegesis.
